Go, Google's Programming Language
"Some smart Google engineers decided that it's time to address the limitations of C and C++ by designing a new programming language: Go.
Go was born out of frustration with existing languages and environments for systems programming. Programming had become too difficult and the choice of languages was partly to blame. One had to choose either efficient compilation, efficient execution, or ease of programming; all three were not available in the same mainstream language. Programmers who could were choosing ease over safety and efficiency by moving to dynamically typed languages such as Python and JavaScript rather than C++ or, to a lesser extent, Java.
Go is an attempt to combine the ease of programming of an interpreted, dynamically typed language with the efficiency and safety of a statically typed, compiled language. It also aims to be modern, with support for networked and multicore computing. Finally, it is intended to be fast: it should take at most a few seconds to build a large executable on a single computer. To meet these goals required addressing a number of linguistic issues: an expressive but lightweight type system; concurrency and garbage collection; rigid dependency specification; and so on. These cannot be addressed well by libraries or tools; a new language was called for. [Language design FAQ]

World's worst digital TV customer service -AIRTEL
It was going very fine until 6 months from the day i took the service. Time has come to recharge and their problem started.
They were not allowing to change the package and in case if you want to change the package then you need to take package for one year... What is the bluddy idiotic rule is this???
So we have decided to continue on the same package even though it was costing us around 12Rs per day. We would have been more happy if the service continued as we mentally decided to pay Rs 12 Per day... and we have recharged with Rs 2700!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But the problem started when they have activated (without any notice from our side) some useless package for 12 months which made our balance to go into negative and with that they have disconnected our services and its been four days and i have called customer care for 6 times. Every time i call them the first dialogue i will get after greetings from the customer rep is "SIR SYSTEM IS DOWN CALL US AFTER 15Mins" what the hell customer care is doing when the system is down???? Believe me then have told me this when i called all the six time. When i escalated to Manager system started working, he will provide all the information. What's happening?????
Stay away from DIGITAL TV... CABLE OPERATOR IS THE BEST ONE.....
DONT GET USED TO DIGITAL TV IT WILL GIVE YOU NOTHING BUT SLEEPLESS NIGHTS........

Working Less Means Working Better, Says Study
It's no surprise that cutting back on work and taking regular breaks is beneficial for workers, but a four-year study from the Harvard Business School found that less work also benefits workers—and workplace productivity—in less obvious ways.
The experiment enforced predictable time off to help its subjects get rid of the feeling that they've got no truly free time from work—what they called "bad intensity"—taking steps as small as requiring that each consultant got at least one night a week when they wouldn't be called or pinged on their BlackBerrys after 6pm. The results:
Working together to make sure each consultant got some time off forced teams to communicate better, share more personal information and forge closer relationships. They also had to do a better job at planning ahead and streamlining work, which in some cases resulted in improved client service, based on interviews with clients.
I'd hope that most of you are already getting at least one such day a week if not five, but maybe I'm out of touch. Let's hear how your schedule compares—and whether you feel like you've got enough predictable, uninterrupted time away from work—in the comments.

Dirtiest websites of the summer 2009
Symantec’s Web site ratings service Norton Safe Web presents the Dirtiest Web Sites of Summer 2009 – the top 100 infected sites based on number of threats detected by Norton Safe Web as of August 2009.Norton Safe Web analyzes sites using signature-based file scanning, intrusion detection engines, behavioral detection and install/uninstall analysis to identify security risks including phishing sites, malicious downloads, browser exploits and links to unsafe external sites. In other words – dirty stuff you don’t want on your computer!
It comes as no surprise that 48% of the Dirtiest Web Sites are, well, dirty— sites that feature adult content. However, other Dirtiest sites run the gamut of subject matter, including sites dedicated to deer hunting, catering, figure skating, legal services, and buying electronics. Viruses are the most common threat represented on the Dirtiest list, followed by security risks and browser exploits. Simply clicking through to a site with these threats could put you at risk of exposing your computer to infection, and worse, put your identity, personal and financial information into the hands of cybercriminals.
With all this dirt out there, what can you do? Help clean up the Web by joining the Norton Safeweb Community.

How effective the mask is to prevent swine flue.......

Panicking over the growing numbers of swine flu cases, several people have begun wearing disposable face masks in crowded areas to avoid catching the virus. But, medical practitioners warn that this, in fact, would spread the virus faster.
Disposable masks have a life of four hours and need to be changed periodically especially if they get wet. Tanu Singhal, paediatrics and tropical & infectious diseases specialist at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital said: “We do not recommend that people wear masks unless they are at home with a sick person or in a hospital. The mask has very limited uses and serve no purpose when worn on the roads or in the train.”
Reuse of the masks can spread the infection especially if not disposed of properly or if worn more than once. “When people wear the mask in a public place and then enter a house or an office, they could be spread the infection. The only time they should use a mask is if they have a cough themselves. And its important the masks are properly disposed of,” Ms Singhal said.
Hemant Thacker, consulting physician at Jaslok and Breach Candy Hospital said: “Wearing a mask too tight can cause it to get wet because of the spit. There is no need to use a mask at this stage. If people want to use masks while travelling, ensure that it is dry, store it in a bag and change the mask after a maximum of four trips”.
With reports of increased use of disposable masks and the government planning to import more to meet demand, doctors are worried that lack of awareness might complicate the situation further.
STAY ALERT! PREVENT AGAINST SWINE FLU
Precautions to keep swine flu at bay
1. Wash your hands frequently
Use the antibacterial soaps to cleanse your hands. Wash them often, at least 15 seconds and rinse with running water.
2. Get enough sleep
Try to get 8 hours of good sleep every night to keep your immune system in top flu-fighting shape.
3. Drink sufficient water
Drink 8 to10 glasses of water each day to flush toxins from your system and maintain good moisture and mucous production in your sinuses.
4. Boost your immune system
Keeping your body strong, nourished, and ready to fight infection is important in flu prevention. So stick with whole grains, colorful vegetables, and vitamin-rich fruits.
5. Keep informed
The government is taking necessary steps to prevent the pandemic and periodically release guidelines to keep the pandemic away. Please make sure to keep up to date on the information and act in a calm manner.
6. Avoid alcohol
Apart from being a mood depressant, alcohol is an immune suppressant that can actually decrease your resistance to viral infections like swine flu. So stay away from alcoholic drinks so that your immune system may be strong.
7. Be physically active
Moderate exercise can support the immune system by increasing circulation and oxygenating the body. For example brisk walking for 30-40 minutes 3-4 times a week will significantly perk up your immunity.
8. Keep away from sick people
Flu virus spreads when particles dispersed into the air through a cough or sneeze reaches someone else’s nose. So if you have to be around someone who is sick, try to stay a few feet away from them and especially, avoid physical contact.
9. Know when to get help
Consult your doctor if you have a cough and fever and follow their instructions, including taking medicine as prescribed.
10. Avoid crowded areas
Try to avoid unnecessary trips outside.

Tulsi can help keep swine flu away
Lucknow, May 27: Wonder herb Tulsi can not only keep the dreaded swine flu at bay but also help in fast recovery of an afflicted person, Ayurvedic practitioners claim."The anti-flu property of Tulsi has been discovered by medical experts across the world quite recently. Tulsi improves the body's overall defence mechanism including its ability to fight viral diseases. It was successfully used in combating Japanese Encephalitis and the same theory applies to swine flu," Dr U K Tiwari, a herbal medicine practitioner says.
Apart from acting as a preventive medicine in case of swine flu, Tulsi can help the patient recover faster.
"Even when a person has already contracted swine flu, Tulsi can help in speeding up the recovery process and also help in strengthening the immune system of the body," he claims.
Dr Bhupesh Patel, a lecturer at Gujarat Ayurved University, Jamnagar is also of the view that Tulsi can play an important role in controlling swine flu.
"Tulsi can control swine flu and it should be taken in fresh form. Juice or paste of at least 20-25 medium sized leaves should be consumed twice a day on an empty stomach."
This increases the resistance of the body and, thereby, reduces the chances of inviting swine flu," believes Patel.
